Our Award-Winning Technicians
Our technicians are all certified by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence which was established in 1972 as a non-profit organization to help improve the quality of automotive service and repair through the voluntary testing and certification of automotive technicians and parts specialists. We speak both English and Spanish.

Steve Shelton started the business in 1985 and has over 35 years in the Auto Repair industry. Steve is L-1 and ASE Master certified. In 2010, Steve was selected as Identifix/ASE Aftermarket Drivability Technician of the Year, one of only 38 auto technicians recognized by the ASE. Prior to establishing Japanese Auto Service, Steve served in the Marines, specializing in aviation electronics.
Also key to shop operations is Anthony Thompson who has been working with Steve at the shop since 1989. Anthony is ASE certified.

In 2005, Steve’s son, Ross, came to work full-time at Japanese Auto Service after a stint in the Marines where he specialized in aviation electronics, working on helicopters. Ross is ASE Master Certified.

Rounding out the crew is Carlos Enriquez. Carlos also served in the Marines, specializing in aviation electronics as well.
